What is our application process?

The process will start by filling out the contact us form, and beginning to have a conversation about your monastic calling and discernment with a member of our Community. If one wishes to proceed, an Inquirer would start the Application Process, which includes:

​

• the candidate’s application,

• copies of certificates proving the candidate has received all the holy Mysteries of Initiation (i.e... Baptism, Chrismation, or Confirmation), or be willing to receive them,

• a letter of recommendation from the candidate’s Pastor, other priest, or religious acceptable to the Hegumen Abbot,

• at least one other letter of recommendation from another person who knows the candidate well that is not a significant other,

• all other information that would be relevant in considering the candidate’s application

• *a $120 application contribution for administrative costs.

Once the application is complete, one would be received into the Postulancy at the following Convocation of the Community.

 

Once our Community has reached it's canonical status per the Typikon - Codes and Canons we will begin admitting novices. *Scholarships may be available.
