About Our Monastery
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him."
Our journey will always be Christ-centered and, ultimately, to serve those that Christ has instructed us to serve; the poor, the infirm, the broken-hearted, the meek, the merciful, those that are just like us. We intend to inspire the people we serve by carrying out the works of the Church and offering solace to those in need of love the most
We strive to be a source of equality and social justice-minded Christianity for all of God’s children—created in their likeness. In acknowledging our history, the Protos of the Orthodox Community of Saint Brigid adopted the patron Mother of God, Our Lady of Unfading Wildflowers Monastery to further facilitate our needed growth and support of our Community while maintaining an inclusive patronal identity.
As the public ministry of the Monastic Community, we serve our local parishes
sacramentally and assist with the needs of the communities we’re involved in.
